I am resurrecting this NCIPhub group that we started during the planning of PV 2015 to organize our progress on collaborations and sharing and the related agreements.

This group has a different membership than the general WSI WG. I can’t manage the coming and going of different parties. I need everyone to manage their own level of awareness and participation by joining and quitting, or just visiting the group. If you are getting this email, you are already a member. Please discuss with your colleagues about who also should be in this group. I’m sure I did not include everyone that has joined this discussion topic. This group is open to anyone, although I have not yet invited the larger group. That will happen in due time.

I am making Esther Abels and Elizabeth Little managers of this group with me so that they can make announcements.

I have added a blog item to share, as promised, a sample material transfer agreement that is very narrow and might be a template for Philips to share their phantom slides.

Brandon

Here is a "WhenIsGood" poll to pick T-con date and time. By the end of this week, please select your preferred dates and times at this link
http://whenisgood.net/cnagiq8

Times offered are good working hours for our European and California colleagues.

Agenda: We will talk about the evolution of the wiki, assign additional topics to be covered in the 10 minute format, and plan future drill-down presentations on phantoms and tissue coverage. This T-con will be open to the general WSI WG membership as we engage everyone to help build the wiki.

Hello PV2015 organizers and presenters. I should probably call you the WSI WG Industry Leaders.

You should have received a notification from the WSI WG hub about our new wiki. We hope that you will continue to be leaders in the group by authoring pages of the wiki.

We are planning a T-con the first week of December. Please be on the lookout for the “When is Good?” poll and the following meeting invite. We will talk about the evolution of the wiki, assign additional topics to be covered in the 10 minute format, and plan future drill-down presentations on phantoms and tissue coverage. This T-con will be open to the general WSI WG membership as we engage everyone to help build the wiki.

To begin, we are recruiting YOU, the PV2015 presenters, to each edit the wiki page on the topic that you presented (see list below). We will refer to these pages as “build-out” pages (granular and brief), as opposed to “drill-down” pages (with details); see the main wiki page for descriptions of these build-out and drill-down pages. To be sure, we invite everyone to create build-out and drill-down pages. Based on the vote we had at the PV2015 session, the current interest of the group is on the build-out pages.

To get the process moving, we ask that the following PV2015 presenters add content to the wiki page suited to their topic or create a new page if needed.

Process: The pages above were created from the template "Build-out Article Technical". Do your best to address the sections listed and keep it brief (same content as requested before). Links to additional content (attachments to the wiki page, presentation slides, and drill-down wiki pages) is your opportunity to add more detail.

Keep the wiki formatting simple (bold/italic, section headings, lists, links, and images). It is not worth your time to get fancy with formatting. If you have any questions or suggestions, write them on your wiki page and we will address them as a group.

If you have any broader questions or suggestions, please make a comment on the WSI WG blog item announcing the wiki: https://nciphub.org/groups/wsi_working_group/blog/2015/11/wsi-wg-blog-roll-out

Thanks,

The WSI WG Organizers

Unless there is objection, I will move the presentations from our private group to the public WSI WG.

The WSI WG organizers will have a post-conference debrief and plan our next steps, including how to build the list of measurement methods and choose/schedule the in-depth science-sharing seminars.

I hope I already thanked you for your contributions on Monday. You were excellent presenters and an engaged audience. It exceeded my expectations ... but I am also not surprised. I look forward to working with you to drag this field out of the "Trough of Disillusionment" and up the "Slope of Enlightenment". (In case you missed it, in his conference closing presentation, Mike M. used the Gartner cycle of hype to describe his impression of the state of the field: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hype_cycle)

Please upload your slides before the session. Here is the file folder https://nciphub.org/projects/wsiwgplanning/files/?action=browse&subdir=PV2015

You can also email your slides if you prefer brandon.gallas@fda.hhs.gov

Allen Olson’s slides were a great model for everyone to follow for their presentations. Please consider them as you revise and polish your slides. You can find his slides at https://nciphub.org/projects/wsiwgplanning/files/?action=browse&subdir=PV2015%2FAllenOlson-Leica

I showed you folders where I have uploaded your presentations if you provided them. Here is a link to help: https://nciphub.org/projects/wsiwgplanning/files/?subdir=%2FPV2015

Please upload revisions and your final presentation to your folder. It will help a lot to have everything in one place on Monday.

Also at the link above you will find the current agenda. Please review for accuracy your name and title.

If you have any questions or suggestions, you can email me or the group.

We decided that we could use one more meeting before PV2015.
