It would be helpful if tools, like most other things in the hub, could be hidden or public.
Access to most content on NCIP Hub can be regulated by the owner/submitter or group manager. For examples, Resources can can be made to belong to and private to a group. However the ability to control access to a tool is not available. Currently, all published tools are public. It would be helpful if the owner/submitter of the tool could control access levels.

This is a little tricky, since we need to sanitize the HTML to remove JavaScript or other things that might be used to compromise the security of the web site.
I think the best way forward would be to add a new feature to "projects" that lets you create project notes by pointing to files in the repository. Notes would have to sanitized before they are made publicly available. We might also need to add a feature to make project notes public, or else to include project notes along with published tools. This feeds into a general redesign of the tool publication functionality that we'll be working on this year.
