Abstract
Several culturally tailored flyers were developed for cancer screening and prevention in African American populations in the Deep South. The populations are medically underserved, from rural or urban areas, and have low socioeconomic status. These flyers accompany additional materials as part of a Community Health Advisor Curriculum. Topics covered include an overview of screening, current recommendations, and best practices. The flyers compliment the CHA curriculum which focuses on screening and risk reduction for 5 impact cancers: breast, cervical, colorectal, lung, and prostate cancers.
Flyers include Cancer 101 and lung cancer options.
