The Center for Health Outcomes and Population Research invites applications for Assistant Scientist level faculty positions within Sanford Research in Sioux Falls, SD. Sanford Research is the non-profit research branch under Sanford Health. Founded in 2006, the Center for Health Outcomes and Population Research (CHOPR) is the public health and social/behavioral sciences arm of Sanford Research.  CHOPR has considerable federal funding, with projects focused in maternal-child, American Indian, and rural population health.

Nurse Simulation Director: The School of Nursing at the University of Delaware announces an exciting opportunity for a full time continuing track Assistant/Associate professor to join an award winning faculty as the Simulation Center Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES: We seek a highly motivated, simulation expert to serve as the Director to lead and expand an interdisciplinary program of simulation in the School of Nursing (SON) and College of Health Sciences (CHS). The non-tenure track faculty member will lead the Center in developing a strategic plan that includes educational programming and innovation in teaching, and designing and implementing a research program and agenda for simulation.  The Director will be responsible for ensuring best practices in all instructional and operational aspects of the Center including directing faculty and staff. The Simulation Center Director reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Nursing and Health Care Innovation.  Responsibilities include building on existing simulation programming in the CHS and SON including Healthcare Theatre, to promote new and innovative simulation experiences; using continuous evaluation and improvement methods guided by International Nursing Association of Clinical Simulation Learning (INACSL) best practice standards, to increasingly advance and grow the simulation learning environment; the oversight of the organization, recruitment, training and management of faculty and operational support staff, ensuring best practice standards of all faculty and staff operating in the simulation environment; and develop and implement a research agenda program for the Simulation Center. 

QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in nursing or related health discipline is the required educational preparation with three to five years’ professional experience in a clinical environment. Experience in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, and customizing clinical educational or simulation programs is expected.  Preference will be given to those with specific education in simulation, health technology, or instructional design.  Ongoing maintenance of licensure and competency through continued clinical practice is expected.

The School of Nursing at the University of Delaware announces an exciting opportunity for a 9-month, full time continuing track Assistant or Associate Professor to join an award winning faculty including nationally recognized leaders in advanced practice, education and policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES: We seek a highly motivated individual to teach Adult Health Nursing in our undergraduate and graduate programs (classroom/clinical/simulation). The individual will also be expected to work with other faculty to enhance learning opportunities (clinical and classroom) for students, participate in evaluation of student learning outcomes, and assist in facilitating the development of clinical affiliations and additional practice learning activities.  Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the BSN program but the candidate may contribute to other teaching efforts at the graduate level as needed. As other faculty in the continuing track, participation in scholarship, student advisement and service activities is an expected part of the faculty role.

The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH) is recruiting for a dynamic, full-time faculty member at the rank of Assistant or Associate Research Professor to serve as the Project Director for a large NIH-funded HIV/AIDS study, the DC Cohort, at 80% effort. The remaining 20% effort will be dedicated to clinical (in-patient or outpatient), educational and/or administrative responsibilities, to be determined based on the training and interests of the successful applicant. The Sumner M. Redstone Global Center is seeking a Biostatistician to support nutrition and obesity focused research. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and develop expertise in nutrition, obesity, and chronic disease epidemiology. The Biostatistician will develop data analysis plans, analyze data, prepare manuscripts, and develop grant proposals for external funding.

The BSC is seeking a full-time Research Assistant (RA) to work as a member of the Data Coordinating Center (DCC) team supporting the EDIC (Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications) study, a large multi-center NIH-funded clinical study.

The Postdoctoral Research Associate independently interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates research assignments under minimal supervision. The project focuses on the roles of chemokine network linking obesity and breast cancer by using mouse tumor models and knock-out models with in vivo and in vitro combination. He/she explores subject area and defines scope and selection of problems for investigation through conceptually related studies or series of projects of lesser scope. He/she supervises and trains lower level classifications lab personnel and students.

This position works under general supervision to set up and perform various cell and molecular biology experiments aimed at understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of basal-like breast cancer; assist the PI and postdoctoral fellow to maintain and conduct experiments with mouse colonies; compile, process and analyze research data. May supervise and provide functional guidance to students and other lower level laboratory personnel. Requires a working knowledge of animal care, as well as contemporary nucleotide and protein analysis approaches.

The Associate Director, Basic Research is responsible for the oversight, development, implementation and evaluation of the basic science related programs and initiatives at Massey Cancer Center.

This position is for a senior-level, tenure-eligible faculty member. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of nursing research with external funding and willingness and ability to provide visionary leadership and mentorship of faculty colleagues and students. 

The successful candidate will have a well-developed scholarly/research portfolio with clear evidence multi-disciplinary applications and external funding appropriate to complement and expand existing expertise in the Division of Epidemiology as well as accomplishments in graduate-level teaching and other professional activities commensurate with appointment as a tenure-eligible Associate or Full professor.

The successful candidate will provide senior leadership and vision in the development and application of epidemiology within the School of Medicine; actively engage with the division’s diverse and expanding research program; recruit and mentor quality faculty; advance the division’s educational mission through our interdisciplinary MPH and doctoral programs; foster research collaborations within the division, throughout the School of Medicine, and with local public health stakeholders; and work with the Department chair to manage the division’s fiscal and operational resources.

This position is for a full-time 12-month term (non-tenure-track) Clinical Faculty member in the Department of Family and Community Health. The chief purpose of the position is to assist with project development and service provision for the community based Health and Wellness Program for Older Adults. Primary functions include 1) assisting with precepting of interprofessional student teams including BSN and Master’s nursing students, social work, pharmacy and medical students at the program site; 2) providing care coordination to patients receiving care within the program and 3) assist with program development and refinement and preparation of reports, etc. To effectively implement this role, the incumbent must be highly skilled in communication and organizational skills with clinical knowledge and skills related to chronic disease management for vulnerable community dwelling populations. Experience with interprofessional team collaboration is desired but not required.
