Public Description

Basic and translational cancer research creates the need to disseminate, manage, and interpret large heterogeneous datasets. The volume and complexity of the data now routinely generated by high-throughput technologies has become too costly for individual laboratories and many research organizations to download, store and process. To address this need, NCI has funded the creation of three cancer genomics cloud pilots that aim to democratize the ability to analyze and interact with large collections of cancer data, such as TCGA, by co-localizing the data with advanced computational capacity and new computational paradigms. 

This NCIP Hub group serves as a collaboration space for members of the Cloud Pilots and the GDC to coordinate their activities during the development of this project.  Presentations and other public information can be found under 'resources'.
