Sanford Research is the non-profit research branch under Sanford Health. Founded in 2006, the Center for Health Outcomes and Population Research (CHOPR) is the public health and social/behavioral sciences arm of Sanford Research.  CHOPR has considerable federal funding, with projects focused in maternal-child, American Indian, and rural population health.
